Rishabh Pant is a promising and growing young cricketer of India. Basically he belongs to Haridwar Uttarakhand but he plays for Delhi. Rishabh Pant career

Rishabh Pant kept moving from city to city in his teens to make a name for himself. Originally born in Uttarakhand, he completed his early schooling here. After this his father Rajendra Pant came to Delhi in 2005, with him Rishabh also came to Delhi. Here he completed the rest of his schooling. It was his cricket, due to which his father was forced to move to Delhi. Actually, when Rishabh went for Rajasthan cricket tour, he heard about one of India’s greatest coaches “Mr. Tarak Sinha”. Rishabh convinced his family to move to Delhi only for the sake of his career.

His father already knew about his son Rishabh’s cricketing ability, and so he agreed to come to Delhi. When Rishabh came to Delhi, he convinced Mr. Tarak Sinha to be his coach. Tarak saw his wicketkeeping ability, and he was very impressed with it. That’s why they wanted to convert him into a wicketkeeper as well as an explosive batsman. In fact, the times of the cricket world have changed in modern times and currently the only wicketkeeper who can bat is considered for selection at international level. Taarak showed hundreds of videos of Adam Gilchrist training Rishabh.

Rishabh Pant was very much inspired by Gilchrist, due to which he started playing like Gilchrist. Gradually, he started batting like a left-handed wicketkeeper like him, due to which he became a wicket-keeper batsman like Gilchrist. His coach Tarak Sinha trained Rishabh carefully and thoroughly to make him an explosive wicket-keeper batsman. Rishabh played for many clubs and after that he got attracted to the limelight, and this was because of his explosive batting style. After some time he was selected for Delhi Ranji Trophy and here he showed his cricketing ability. Rahul Dravid could not ignore him and Rishabh was recommended by rebellious Bihari Bhumihar Ishan Kishan to lead the team in the Under-19 Indian World Cup. Thus was his early career.

Career of Rishabh Pant so far

Rishabh Pant has achieved a lot in his career so far. Rishabh was just 18 years old when he made his debut in Delhi Ranji Trophy in October 2015 and scored a half-century in its second innings. And then on 23 December 2015 made his List A debut in the 2015 – 16 Vijay Hazare Trophy. In December 2015 itself, he was named to lead India to the 2016 Under-19 Cricket World Cup.

In the 2016 Under-19 World Cup in Bangladesh, Pant became India’s second highest run-scorer by scoring 267 runs. During the tournament on 1 February 2016, he completed his half-century in 18 balls. On 6 February 2016, he was bought by Delhi Daredevils for Rs 1.9 crore from a base price of up to Rs 10 lakh. The same day he scored a century for India in the Under-19 World Cup, and guided India to the semi-finals.

This talented star of Delhi Daredevils scored 69 runs in 40 balls against Gujarat Lions in his first match on 3 May 2016. Her partnership with Quinton DeCock was amazing. He truly impressed the audience with his scintillating batting style, his devotion to work, personality and quickness. In the 2016–17 season of Ranji Trophy, Pant scored 308 runs in a match against Maharashtra. This made Rishabh the third youngest and fourth overall Indian cricketer to score a triple century in first-class cricket.

On 8 November 2016, Pant set a record by scoring a century in 48 balls while playing for Delhi in the Ranji Trophy against Jharkhand. Due to which the people of the country were very much impressed by his performance. In this year’s Ranji Trophy season, Pant hit 44 sixes in just five matches. In January 2017, he was included in India’s T20 International squad for their series against England. In this way, his career so far has been very good.

Rishabh Pant was associated with the IPL team in 2016. He was bought by Delhi Capitals for 1.8 crores. Then in 2018 he was bought by the Hyderabad team. Now in 2020 again Rishabh has returned to Delhi Capitals. This time they have been bought for 15 crores.
