Pilavulkandi Thekkeparambil Usha was born on 27 June 1964 in Payyoli village, popularly known as PT Usha. His father’s name is EPM Paital, and mother’s name is TV Lakshmi. PT Usha had very poor health in childhood, but she improved her health during her primary school days, and people started seeing the image of a great athlete in her.
